Abstain is a defensive Strife technique in Homestuck where the user refrains from some action or temptation. So far, Abstain has only been used once, when Rose's mother offered her a martini as part of her Guardian Rubric: Ironic Negligence technique. When used, it allowed Rose to Auto-Perrier her mother's technique.
