In The Homestuck Epilogues[]
- From the reader's point of view, Alternate Calliope's story in The Homestuck Epilogues picks up from where her Canon biography ended.
The alternate Calliope comes into direct conflict with Volume: Meat's Dirk Strider as the two attempt to push their own narrative.
Having taken the body of Jade Harley,[citation needed] Calliope's narration easily overpowers Dirk's so long as her host body is conscious,[citation needed] but her adamant refusal to insinuate her motives allows Dirk to cleverly circumvent her by physical means.
Taking the form of Jade Harley,[citation needed] Calliope consumes the body of Lord English which has fallen through the black hole into the Candy volume.[citation needed] This supernatural meal awakens power “that no being has ever commanded before”,
allowing her to open a wormhole through which she, Davebot and Aradia Megido are able to pursue their new enemy Dirk Strider aboard his ship the Theseus.
In Homestuck: Beyond Canon[]
Through Jade, Calliope serves as a guide to Karkat Vantas and the others who pursue Dirk Strider across space. She communicates to them only minimally, however, being identified simply as “"POSSESSED JADE"” and offering only vague warnings of “the prince's” growing power.
Banished from Jade's body,[citation needed] Calliope struggles against commands to "be Jade". Forced into incorporeal form, the two alternate alternate Calliopes spot each other across a vast expanse of space, and find themselves engaging in a brief episode of their oldest and only hobby - simply fathoming - before taking a moment to take a deep breath and consolidate.Banished from Jade's body,[citation needed] Calliope struggles against commands to be "Jade." Forced into incorporeal form, the two alternate alternate Calliopes spot each other across a vast expanse of space, and find themselves engaging in a brief episode of their oldest and only hobby - simply fathoming - before taking a moment to take a deep breath and consolidate.
Having recollected her thoughts, Calliope returns to the teenage Jade's body months later in local time, and prompts her two “loafing compatriots” to “put the beverages down and get to work.”
When the “constellatory quartet” of the younger Calliope, Roxy, Kanaya and Jade convene to discuss the Home - a “Cosmic Canonical Correspondent” which manifests all the damage done to the canon - the alternate Calliope appears to state her intention to “move this story to its conclusion without further complications”, and swiftly adjourns the meeting.
