Dubiously CanonDaraya Jonjet is a jade blooded troll living on Alternia during the time of Joey Claire's visit.
Her sign is Virnius, sign of the Fierce, which has a Prospit sway and is bound to the Hope aspect.
Concept and creation[]
Daraya and Lanque Bombyx were the only trolls identified by real names in a leaked early version of the Troll Call. Her Troll Call card was officially revealed on November 15, 2017, alongside Mallek Adalov. Her bullet points were;
- Has been in detention her whole life
- Imitation grubhorn bracelet
- ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb
The first and third points were altered from December 6, 2018 to be;
- Been in detention for her entire life
- Apathy level varies
Etymology[]
Her first name is a reference to the title character of the television series Daria, who shares a similar gloomy personality. Daraya is also the Somali word for "darling", a possible reference to fellow jade blood ♫ Kanaya Maryam. Her last name is a reference to rock and roll singer Joan Jett.
Biography[]

In particular, it needs citations.Joey and Xefros meet Daraya in the Jade and Teal car where she is being accused of stealing the sacred and banned book "Fresh Teeth" from the cloister. This leads to a trial held with Marvus and the teal bloods using Tyzias' defense system. In the trial she is proven innocent though acts tired and apathetic towards the whole thing. There is no ending to the trial in which Daraya can be culled.
Relationships[]
Joey Claire[]
Joey is very determined to prove that Daraya is innocent and seems to admire her a lot. However, Daraya is very apathetic towards Joey and her defense.
Bronya Ursama[]
Bronya holds a somewhat harsh attitude towards Daraya at times, but she does so because she is worried that Daraya's rebellious attitude will get her culled, due to her own past experiences with a jade she knew who was culled.
Tyzias Entykk[]
After Daraya is accused and a trial is suggested Tyzias suggest they use her defense idea which saves Daraya though she acts very apathetic about it.
She is annoyed by the other teals, especially Stelsa.[citation needed]
Lynera Skalbi[]
In Hiveswap Act 2 Daraya mentions that she believes Lynera hates her because she believes that Daraya has flushed feelings for Bronya, though she repeatedly confirms that she doesn't. Lynera blames Daraya for the disappearance of "Fresh Teeth" and Daraya believes Lynera wants to get her culled.
It is implied in Hiveswap Act 2 that Daraya has been in a quadrant with another cloistered jade before, but that it did not end well and she is very much not interested in doing do again.[citation needed]
Lanque Bombyx[]
While they don't consider each other friends, Lanque and Daraya seem to tolerate each other the most compared to the others in their cloister. During the trial, while they still bicker amongst each other, they agree with each other on other things.
Wanshi Adyata[]
Daraya is Wanshi's accountabilibuddy on the train trip. Wanshi says that they have a lot of fun together, but Daraya protest this.

- If you confront Daraya after talking to Tyzias after the trial, Daraya mentions how she is "off planet in less than a sweep."[citation needed] Considering the age for exile is 9 Alternian solar sweeps[citation needed], this would make her 8 Alternian solar sweeps old/~17-18 Earth years old.
- The actual title of her theme song (that turned out to be too long) is ' "▲trollkind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. to obtain something of equal value must be lost. that is alchemys first law of equivalent exchange. in those days, we really believed that to be the worlds one, and only, truth.▼"
