In The Homestuck Epilogues[]
The Homestuck Epilogues take place seven years after the arrival of these principal characters, from their perspective. These epilogues exist "outside of canon", and across two timelines. The Meat timeline, treated as the "more canon" timeline, involves a conflict in which:
- Dirk takes control of the narrative and enters into a battle for authorial authority with Alternate Calliope.
- John travels back into canon to kill Lord English, finds Terezi, and is ultimately killed.
- Jane becomes president of Earth, despite emerging fascist leanings, due to Dirk's influence and support for his ally.
- Rose Lalonde undergoes a crisis while attaining her Ultimate Self, has her consciousness transferred into a robot, and is taken by Dirk on a spaceship to a mysterious destination, joined by Terezi.
The Meat timeline is the timeline in which the events described in Caliborn's masterpiece occur.
The Candy timeline, treated as the "less canon" timeline, involves a narrative in which:
- Jane becomes de-facto fascist dictator of Earth, enters into a toxic relationship with Jake and Gamzee Makara, and wages war against a revolutionary force lead by Karkat and partially consisting of ghosts who fell into a black hole in the other timeline.
- Dirk Strider commits suicide in order to consolidate his power in the other timeline.
- John marries Roxy, the two have children, but divorce after John attempts to kidnap Jane and Jake's child, only to reconcile years later.
- Dave meets a hologram of Barack Obama who helps him attain his Ultimate Self and transfer his consciousness into a robot.
