Mallek Adalov is a blue blooded troll living on Alternia during the time of Joey Claire's visit.
His sign is Scorist, sign of the Mutineer, which has a Prospit sway and is bound to the Time aspect.
Concept and creation[]
James Roach believes Mallek may have taken the place of the "piratethief" character seen in early concept art for the game.
Mallek was first revealed during the Hiveswap Troll Call event alongside Daraya Jonjet on November 15, 2017. His bullet points were "Master of the blockchain", "13 piercings at last count" and "Sweet kicks". His bullet points were altered as from December 6, 2018 to "12 piercings at last count", "Surprisingly competent cook" and "He could own your entire system".
Etymology[]
His first name was confirmed[citation needed] to be a reference to actor Rami Malek, who played the hacker Elliot Alderson on the show Mr. Robot. It may also reference the "malloc", a function group in C standard library. His last name is likely a reference to Ada Lovelace, a countess whose mathematics were very important to the early history of computers.
Biography[]
In Hiveswap Act 2 Mallek appears in the cerulean car. After Galekh requests Joey show him professional literature to impress him, Mallek offers to download some for her if she charges some technology for him. Joey gets it charged by Kuprum and he gives her the hacked documents.
Relationships[]
Joey Claire[]
Mallek is very friendly towards Joey and willing to help her out. He also identifies her as a mutant and assures her that he's "cool with mutants."
Elwurd[]
Elwurd and Mallek seem to get along. She is aware of his "hacktivist group" and teases him.
Trivia[]
- Mallek is currently the only named male member of the blue blood caste.
- Mallek lost a piercing in the revision of his Troll Call card. This may relate to the presence of only 12 visible piercings on his card artwork, which could have erroneously implied the existence of a thirteenth in a more sensitive area of his body.
