The Moon is the name given to the small, cratered satellites that orbit between the imaginary city and the four kingdoms in Problem Sleuth's imaginary universe, and around the Earth in Homestuck's Universe B.[image?]

In Problem Sleuth[]

At some point the Busts-R-Us Captain Snoop was caught in the Moon's orbitPS icon on a piece of floating earth; when the chunk was destroyedPS icon by a butterfingered Tootsie Roll Frankenstein Pickle Inspector, the Candy Mecha's journey through space coincidentally took it into the bust's pathPS icon, keeping the Prodigal Hustla safely aloft.

After another shot from the Sextant / Clock Tower of Cartesian Alignment caused the Moon to be blasted into a permanent crescent shapePS icon, jettisoning Snoop once more, the Moon was pulled intoPS icon the black hole formed around Mobster Kingpin and his tight Gravity Brassier. Once within the hole, the Moon's slow descent brought it down upon the Kingpin's headPS icon, pushing him through the other end and out of the crater of Mount Saint Lardass.

The black hole's subsequent explosion sent the Moon backPS icon to its appropriate distance from the imaginary worlds. At the time of the Problem Sleuth epilogue, it remainedPS icon in its damaged, crescent shape, now orbiting the imaginary worlds in a vivid red-pink. Interestingly, no moon can be seenPS icon in the orbit of the real Earth.

In Midnight Crew[]

The moon appears prominently as a golden crescent in Act 1031HS of the in-universe Midnight Crew MS Paint Adventure, with the stars visible behind it suggesting that it may have a hole in it and that Midnight Crew may take place in Problem Sleuth's imaginary universe.[image?] The skyline in front of the moon, however, more closely resembles that ofPS icon the Real City Streets (see above).

In Homestuck[]

While the Earth's Moon[image?] is not a major factor in Homestuck's story, moons such as Prospit's and Derse's are significant, and a crescent moon motif is a frequently used to represent them.

The first pageHS of Homestuck's first Intermission shows the Felt's mansion backdropped by a familiar golden crescent moon; however this is later rectifiedHS as the green moon of Alternia, where the mansion is actually located.

On Snapchat (Dubiously Canon)[]

Though the Moon was not shown being extracted from the dying post-scratch Universe B along with the Earth, Earth C had a moon seemingly identical to its old satellite. 5000 years after the Creators' arrival on the planet (as per the time travel shown in the Credits), on December 2nd, the day between the birthdays of Jade Harley, Jake English, Rose and Roxy Lalonde, and Dirk and Dave Strider, a committee from the Carapace Kingdom sought to celebrate Creator Simultaneitivity (from simultaneity and nativity, the celebration of the birth of Christ) by somnaforming the moon, or blowing a chunk out of it to make it resemble the symbol used for Prospit and Derse's moons (from somnia, meaning dream, and terraforming, the practice in science fiction of altering celestial bodies; terraforming the moon to be in the form of a dream moon).

When Jane Crocker's transportalization was hijacked by anti-human terrorists, she was sent to the moon to be killed by the somnaformation process. At that time, however, Jack Noir flew over the moon with the Felt, and Jane was able to hitch a ride to safety by taking Jack and his new gang as her servants, leaving Cans behind to punch her and her new posse to safety.

Earth C moon

Earth C's moon after all those carapacians took a big chunk out of it.HS2

The moon, now somnaformed into its signature crescent shape, hangs over Earth C's Midnight City,HS2P possibly suggesting - in conjunction with the presence of Diamonds Droog, Snowman and members of the Problem Sleuth cast - that Midnight Crew in fact takes place on this planet.

After taking control of the Felt and escaping her assassination attempt, Jane used the leprechauns' labor to build a contingency plan on the now-crescent moon, in the form of an immense laser capable of firing upon the Earth. If she fails in her attempt to capture The Plot Point from her enemy rebels, she plans instead to use this laser to destroy it.HS2
