Sollux's hive resembles Dave's house in that they both live in an apartment complex (or, on Alternia, a "Communal Hive Stem"). His hive (as well as the other hives in the stem) sports the typical grey exterior and 12 paned windows. The main structure, on the other hand, is green. From the outside the windows appear pink. The roof has an arch that looks like half of his Gemini symbol. Sollux keeps his Lusus chained to this arch, as it cannot fit into his respiteblock. Like Dave's neighbors, the surrounding citizens die when Sollux enters the Medium.
Sollux's respiteblock is the only external feature that remains on the structure in the Land of Brains and Fire. The building was later expanded by Karkat Vantas to reach the Seven Gates and eventually Skaia as required by Sburb, but was ultimately destroyed alongside Sollux's whole planet during Jack Noir's rampage.
Respiteblock[]
Sollux's respiteblock has hieroglyphs scribbled on his walls, which are recovered from one of the troll Frog Temples which he adapts to create Sgrub. His respiteblock also houses his Beehouse Mainframes, which are used to cultivate the mind honey Sollux feeds to his lusus. Like everything else in Sollux's life, his Recuperacoon is split into two parts, and its sopor slime is colored in red and blue, as are the curtains, the wall scribblings and the cables from his Mainframes.
On the floor in his respiteblock is a set of throwing stars, the weapons he uses in place of a particular Kind Abstratus.
