The idea of all the players being "doomed" when in a doomed timeline vexes me a little. What does that even mean? Does it just mean that they all die? Because if that's the case, then every timeline is doomed, because we all die eventually. And we know it can't be, because many of the Trolls' doomed timlines have people who lived a lot longer than the alpha versions, and Davesprite has outlived Dave, althought that may be just because he's a sprite. Does it mean that they fail to create a universe? Again, I feel as though that can't be the answer, because the beta kids weren't able to create their universe, and the alpha kids weren't either. Any thoughts? 64.150.8.6 19:24, December 10, 2014 (UTC)

Actually, no. In a lot of doomed timelines, players simply cease to exist (see: dram Rose from Davesprite's timeline), and actually (aside from that weird dream self merger), dying is the only way to avoid this fate and preserve yourself as a ghost (in an analogous non doomed scenario, Meenah timed the explosion of the tumor before the scratch in such a way that the god tiers wouldn't have time to revive, and would continue to exist as ghosts). If a doomed player returns to the alpha timeline, then they are slated to die as soon as possible. Davesprite being a sprite may indeed have spared him this fate, but we don't entirely know the mechanics there yet.
Ultimately, we don't even have to speculate on "what constitutes a doomed timeline", the answer has been given to us: a doomed timeline is anything that deviates from the events that need to take place in the alpha timeline. Aepokk ulpex 19:59, December 10, 2014 (UTC)
