Zebruh Codakk is a indigo blooded troll living on Alternia during the time of Joey Claire's visit.

His sign is Sagimino, sign of the Penitent, which has a Prospit sway and is bound to the Doom aspect.

Concept and creation

A leaked early version of Zebruh's Troll Call card.

Zebruh was designed by Shelby Cragg.^{[citation needed]} His leaked placeholder name was "Groupie" in reference to his music enthusiasm.

Zebruh was first revealed during the Hiveswap Troll Call event alongside Chixie Roixmr on February 21, 2018. His bullet points are "olive girls are so strong... some guys are threatened by that, but he likes it a lot.", "self-proclaimed 'gutterblood ally'", and "already in your DMs". His bullet points altered as from December 6, 2018 to "All lowbloods are queens", "Thinking about getting into music. Not a big deal. Whatever." and "All quadrants wide open".

Etymology

The name Zebruh is a modified version of zebra, an equine animal known for its black-and-white coloration, because his lusus is one. It is also a combination of zebra and the term bruh, a slang form of "bro" that is typically used to convey frustration or disappointment. Codakk may be a modification of Kodak, a brand of printers and cameras (ironically, in 2005, Kodak announced it would stop producing black-and-white photo paper). Both names support some relationship between Zebruh and colors. It could also be a reference to Dresden Codak, a webcomic whose author has been criticized for masking a desire to draw characters sexily as social justice promotion. Finally, his name as a whole could be a reference to "The Bro Code", a pattern of behavior that often involves sexual entitlement.

Biography

In Hiveswap: Act 2 Zebruh appears in the train station. Joey and Xefros attempt to persuade him to give them his ticket which he says he will do for favors from Marvus. Joey gets him a sign label and gets Marvus to listen to his music but he doesn't give her the ticket until Marvus praises him and Xefros gives him Dammek's microphone.

Joey Claire

Zebruh scams Joey by having her do tasks under the guise that he will give her his train ticket leading to her having great distaste for him, but she does convince him to give it up after she and Xefros hype him for slam or get culled.

Marvus Xoloto

Marvus acts friendly to Zebruh, listening to his music and encouraging him to go on Slam or Get Culled; though it is unclear if this behaviour is genuine or mainly serves to help Joey.
